I know! It’s absoloutely breath taking isn’t it! It makes me wish I were a Hollywood Starlet! Then again, I guess I don’t really have to be one if I’m wearing this. It oozes of Silver Screen Royalty and just simply adorning it would be enough to turn any head in a room! Um, I’m sorry, can we say Oscar worthy, please?
Stunning Lace Taffeta Dress: $215 at LaVintage! It’s a bit pricier than I usually shop, but it’s so fabulous that I can’t resist! This Marilyn Monroe styled 1950’s evening dress has a scalloped, wave like bodice trimmed with braided black applique and a bustle like panel at the back. The strapless bodice has a bullet bra style bust and a back metal zip closure and the entire dress is made with a sheer black lace overlay on top of a beige/ cream taffeta. Platinum Mink Fur: $300 on Ebay at California Vintage Connect! I know! Price is a bit high, but ladies, this is a mint condition 1960’s Mink Swing coat! Now, I don’t wear fur, but you have to appreciate the artistry of this garment. The exquisite extra large collar, the perfectly belled sleeves, and the swing cut of this fully lined jacket begs to be showcased and deserves a night out on the town! In pristine condition, you have only one day left to bid!
Handmade Velvet Purse: $23 on Etsy at Green Pond Crafts! This is a beautiful handmade velvet purse crafted from soft velvet, satin, and beads. The flower is made by sewing 3 layers of petals around the small beads and then sewn into the purse. (Description Via Green Pond Crafts)
Dolce Vita Shoes: $158 at Nasty Gal Vintage! Black suede pumps featuring a curved covered platform. Genuine leather interior, cushioned insole. These shoes are obviously not vintage, but they defiantly help complete this Marilyn-esque outfit!
